Treatments Available

Sports Massage
Massage concentrating on soft tissue manipulation, including muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. This treatment is effective for maintaining suppleness and flexibility and aiding recovery on rest days, thus enhancing sporting performance. (Passive and active stretching forms an integral part of this treatment.)

Deep Tissue Massage
An intensive massage treatment using stronger techniques to manipulate excessively ‘stressed’ muscles, incorporating neuromuscular technique and PNF and passive stretching to break down taut and fatigued muscles, increase range of motion, and locate and neutralise painful trigger points, which can hinder training and lead to injury.

Pre & Post Event Massage
The way an athlete deals with an event, both before and after, can significantly affect performance during the event, and recovery afterwards. This treatment softens and loosens tight muscles, important for event preparation. Massage treatment within 24 hours of the event can significantly speed recovery of muscles, reducing DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) enabling the athlete to return to training more quickly.

What to Expect From Your Treatment

At your initial treatment you can expect a postural assessment and/or range of motion testing to determine areas of concern or restriction that could be affecting your day-to-day life, training or performance.

Follow up treatments will involve a mini consultation and re-assessment (if necessary) to determine if any changes in your treatment plan are required, so I can adapt the techniques and areas worked, to ensure the most effective treatment.
